WELP. I posted it.
and y’all all want to know how I did it. There’s no secret recipe here. I didn’t even think I would lose 11 pounds, but it happened! && I only went to the gym once. I also only got one comment that said “I liked you better when you had the extra 11 lbs.” LOL too bad it’s not your body.
CALORIES.
The myfitnesspal app has became my best friend. In order for me to lose weight like I wanted to, it told me that I needed to only eat 1200 calories a day. That’s not a lot, so that restricted me from A LOT of unhealthy options. I immediately cut out soda (which was painful) and fast food. The first week was literally hell. H E L L.
WEEK ONE:
I was drinking 1-2 DR. Pepper’s a day and my lunch breaks were always fast food. Most of the time, I didn’t even eat dinner. I would eat so many calories, so fast that my stomach was definitely stretched out. When I say the first week was literal HELL, I’m not kidding. I added in a breakfast, which I never ate before. My lunch was really small, so I was still STARVING after I ate it. Dinner was so boooooring and all I wanted was french fries and a sushi roll. Did I mention that I stopped drinking DR. Pepper and started drinking….WATER (ew)
but then something happened.
Week two was easier. I decided that I was going to eat the same thing for breakfast and lunch every single day just so I had a routine that I could stick to.
Breakfast: Banana and Community Coffee : 2 Creams 2 Sugars
Lunch: wheat wrap, provolone cheese, and turkey breast. Some times I would actually only use half of the wrap and half of the cheese. The next week I ate half a wheat wrap, half a provolone slice, and pepperoni.
Snack: Birthday Cake One Bar
and then the scale started to go down and the cravings stopped. My body basically stopped WANTING to eat whenever and whatever to eating like it should.
I basically kept it up, counting my calories, watching my macros. I allow myself once a week to not worry about it so I don’t get drained, and I do not say no if I’m invited to a dinner or if a friend’s cooking. So if my friend is cooking burgers on Thursday night and they invite me, I go and I eat the dang burger. If my friend texts me on Sunday and says let’s go get mimosa’s and crawfish, I go get mimosa’s and crawfish. BUT, if there’s no plans, it’s strict eating. You’d be surprised how often YOU were the reason you were eating a cheeseburger from Wendy’s at 8 PM 4 times a week.
I am not certified in nutrition, and I honestly don’t know much about it, so I’m just telling you how I did it. That doesn’t mean you’ll have the same results, but I hope you do! They really do mean it when they say losing weight is all around your diet.
Since you’ve stuck around this long, I guess I’ll show you guys my before and after, fun fact my AFTER picture is while I was on my period. I have definitely lost a ton of bloat, which was my main goal.
Now I basically just need to maintain this til July and maybe tone up, just still don’t really want to workout at all. Hope this gives you a little bit of motivation to change at least one bad thing in your diet this week!
